The Blount Island Marine tests validated our claims that a 320W metal halide lamp driven by our high frequency ballasts produce light levels comparable to a 1000W HPS lamp. Blount Island Marine also documented 70.9% energy savings — almost 1% more than our claims. Employees reported that the lamp driven by Genesys produced favorable light, and they were able read and identify colors better under the whiter, test lights.

The Challenge

Blount Island Marine heard our claims that our high frequency electronic ballast could drive a 320W lamp to produce measured light levels equal to a 1000W HPS lamp, while providing up to 70% Energy Savings, and wanted to put us to the test.

In an area illuminated by 15 poles, Blount Island Marine retrofitted one of the poles with one of our gHID ballasts and left the other poles as they were, and began collecting data.
